Owning an Alpine chalet is a dream for many. Over the years we have facilitated this for our clients. For some it is purely for personal use, more and more it is for a new work place as well as leisure. Others look to make the property available to receive a rental income. From experience combining these factors and the very fact that the property is abroad requires assistance.

Rupert Longsdon is the CEO and Founder of the well established and globally respected Oxford Ski Company.
A specialist agency organising the very best in chalet and hotels across the Alps, North America and Japan. He has been living and breathing the world of skiing since he first worked in Val d'Isere over 25 years ago.
With a passion for looking after clients, a love of the mountains and realisation that clients were looking for more out of a skiing holiday that was on offer back then, he set up Oxford Ski Company in 1998. The company now organises holidays for several thousand clients a year coming from all over the world.
It was only natural to complete the circle for some and advise clients on buying properties in the Alps
“Rupert really knows the Alps. His length and breadth of knowledge of ski resorts, contacts within, combined with his honesty and high levels of service are hard to match”

“Having spent many years skiing as a family. We contemplated actually purchasing an Alpine residence. We sought the advice of Rupert Longsdon of The Oxford Ski Company who was known for his expertise and up to date knowledge. This proved invaluable in our ultimate selection of Courchevel 1650 as our favoured resort.”

“When I finally decided it was time for me to realize my dream and buy a chalet in the Alps, I had two major concerns: the first was how to pick the right resort for me, and the second was how to avoid lengthy discussions with real estate agents who do not understand my needs and desires. Having previously organized some great holidays with Oxford Ski Company, I turned to Rupert for help. Not only did his advice prove valuable for the choice of Val d’ Isere as the resort, but he also managed and narrowed down the plethora of available options to the ones that really matched my taste. Thanks to Rupert and his team, I bought during the COVID lockdown a great newbuilt in Val d’ Isere. I could not have done it without their professional service.”

The success of working together is very much a two-way relationship. There is always a healthy combination of emotional and financial involvement when anyone invests in a property in the mountains. We want to make sure every aspect is covered off perfectly as no two situations are alike. It goes without saying that we also fully respect privacy and confidentiality at all times.
An initial call or meeting will really determine the best route to follow.
We go out and search for suitable properties based on the initial consultation, drawing up a shortlist to review.
We will arrange to accompany you when viewing properties on the shortlist. These can also be arranged and conducted remotely.
We act for you to achieve the best price. No two deals are the same but experience, expertise and a knowledge of the market work together to achieve this.
Once terms are agreed, we work with your solicitor or other advisors, assisting with any issues that might affect the terms of purchase. For rentals, we provide a full tenancy administration service.
